The St. Patrick's Day parade will NOT be on Saturday the 14th March 2020 and will begin and end at Kungsträdgården!!
St Patrick's Day - is a day to celebrate being Irish, loving Ireland or enjoying it's wonderful craic and culture! You don't have be Irish to enjoy the day, everyone is invited!
The parade is arranged annually by the Swedish-Irish Society, with support this year from the Irish Embassy, Irish Emigrant Support programme and sponsors O'Dwyer Goldsmith and Tourism Ireland.
GATHERING AND PRE-PARADE ACTIVITIES
We will gather at Kungsträdgården, by the stage. Come along at 11:00 and soak up the atmosphere, catch up with old friends or meet some new ones. There will be face-painting, balloons, costumes and other activities - learn a few phrases of Irish, or try some Irish dancing steps! Come early!
A TASTE OF IRELAND
During the day you will get the chance to try some fabulous Irish inspired food from fish and chips (Milner's Fish and Chips) to some Irish coffee. There'll be lots of food to try so make sure you get there before it all runs out!
The parade will depart at 13:00 led as always by St Patrick, the Irish Ambassador to Sweden, the majestic Irish wolfhounds, Irish horses, the wonderful Stockholm Pipe Band and hundreds of happy people in a colourful and fun spectacle and more! Make sure to dress in your best green and bring all who want to celebrate be them 2 legged or 4 legged!
The parade route will wind back to Kungsträdgården so you can join in at any part but the most fun is to do the whole walk!
