Featuring the Society's own Spuds and Sill!The Embassy of Ireland is pleased to welcome the younger members of our community to Ireland House on Sunday 14 December for an afternoon of festive fun and cheer. Festivities will start at 12:00 and conclude at 14:00.The afternoon will feature a pantomime performance by the Swedish Irish theatre group Spuds & Sill and there will festive treats and nibbles for all.   Join us for a festive book club at the earlier time of 17.00 on December 18 at Wirströms City (Kungsgatan). We’ll be reading Alan Murrin’s The Coast Road (2024). The novel is set in a fictional Donegal town on the eve of the divorce referendum in 1994, and follows the fate of three women yearning to escape their marriages. Described by reviewers as a ‘compelling, compassionate page-turner’ packed with ‘small town shenanigans’, it promises to be a pre-Christmas crowd-pleaser.
